Austria’s tallest trees in Lammertal Virgin Forest

Mighty treetop in Lammertal Virgin Forest The “Lammertal Watchman”, a 48 m tree that is about 300 years old.

Hike out to our ca. 10-hectare forest nature reserve, in which firs, spruce, beech and larches grow to extraordinary dimensions in a practically virgin setting.

The outstanding soil conditions and the favorable hillside location have allowed the trees to grow in an optimal climate to become the biggest trees in Austria.

The “Lammertal Watchman” is astonishing, a 48-meters-tall pine tree estimated to be about 300 years old.
